Problems just tend to get bigger if you are in the wrong frame of mind tbh…

The basic idea is correct: you have to learn to manage a little money, or you’ll never be able to manage a lot of money.

If I could make more than $30,000 a year, working two jobs…….yes, things would get easier for me. It’s practically impossible to get ahead with that annual amount. That’s gross, by the way. That IS NOT what I bring home.

Well to qualify for a house you need to make like 140k a year, no kids, no debt😂

I have nearly 0 income, so I am sure I'm not wasting any money. Always had nothing and I know it's my fault. I am trying to build my cupboards as fast as I can it's the only thing I'm good at. It's not easy to find customers.

More money does help. Once you can comfortably cover your living expenses and have extra money each month, your savings can grow quickly. Some people never reach that opportunity. And yes, if you lifestyle inflate you're squandering that opportunity. I live by the 50/30/20 rule now but early in my career it was closer to 60/20/20 because the cost of living compared to my income was so high. I'm 10 years into an engineering career and only within the last few years have been able to get my expenses under 50%. I don't take vacations, I drive the same car from when I was 16, and I live in a modest home I'm slowly fixing up.

You could also say that 2 out of 3 people making more than 100k are not living paycheck to paycheck. How does that compare to those making less than 100k, especially nowadays with everything being more expensive? That’s the real question.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that 100% of my current problems can and would be fixed with money.

So when my pay went from about 50k to roughly 80k in a year, my lifestyle has mostly stayed the same. I treat myself just bit more on occasion, but I don't indebt myself in anyway. Especially in this economy. Roughly 25% of my current pay goes directly to savings or investments. Just pretend you never got that raise, and keep living like you ar poor. Cuz let's face it, I'm making almost 100k a year now, and I still feel poor.
