A bunch of the reasons why people were getting kicked to character select or having to log in again were because of "new builds". Every time a new build came out, it would warn you about restarting. If you hit a load screen, say, after a cutscene, it would boot you out. I've had it happen quite frequently.

Hi woodenpotatoes. Long time fan but first time commenter. With the dust settling after the launch of HoT, we can expect many guides about how to gear up your character incoming, for all the new specialisations, new builds and new players. Please, show us your tips on how to gear up your character (for cheap). For example, I've noticed that the superior sigil of force is now hovering around 13 gold, when it used to be 5 gold steady. I'm sure it's being manipulated, where there is a quick an easy way to craft it on the cheap: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3qyg4d/dont_get_ripped_off/ However, as you can see, this is quite controversial. My main is a Druid, and the biggest thing that is painfully obvious is that we don't get as much experience/reward when healing our asses off for a big group event as everyone else does doing DPS. Healing is not registered by the event AI as being a contribution. Most the big heals have some damage component on them, so even if I just healed an event, I would get something. However, the usual result is Bronze, rarely Silver. It's a huge disappointment after putting a lot of effort into planning, spending, and gearing up to be more of a Healer focus character, to be forced right back into a sub-par DPS. :-/ As far as any improvement, looking at the Oct 27 patch notes, there really is nothing of substance. Astral form does not degenerate "out of combat," but not really much of an upgrade.

ON making money part, those who don't like doing TP flipping and map farming, and use to enjoy doing dungeons and fractal, HOT offers them nothing. Which is sad, by this many people will get bored and stop playing the game soon enough.

I just finished the HoT story the other day, and I agree with your comments about the narrow scope but better storytelling. Without spoiling anything to people who haven't done it, I felt that a few plot points near the end felt very rushed and many questions were left unanswered. I'm hoping that this is intentional, and that raids will somehow "fill in the gaps" to the story. Even so, I had a good time overall.

Loved HoT story. Hod did you expect to beat an elder dragon during a story instance? The fight in solo was actually fun and well balanced. Also many clever stuff, reminded me of Omega Weapon fight in FFXIV

So I finished the story today loved it beginning to end but unfortunately it was very short. I was really hoping for more stuff inbetween but I'm happy overall I guess. Can someone tell me if this is the end of this particular story with mordremoth etc? Because I feel like There should be tonns more story content.

About your intro, Hots music > Vanilla Music! I read that somewhere on the forums and i agree, Vanilla music, although melodic and nice, it is very depressing at times, HoTs music is more cheerful and epic that gives a good adventure sense

I've been really enjoying the story, I feel like it touches way more on gw1 stuff l. I love how the story gets fleshed out with all the events in the maps and taking some time to do events between story instances has been a lot of fun and really puts in perspective where you are and what's going on.

The change to Druid was a God-send because it degenerated way to quickly if you got out of combat.
