Started as a poor kid in India. Where did he become rich? In India? Or a western country? Cause I bet it was in a western country… Investing and savings creates wealth. Not wage slave, not regular business. America as a business country of manufacturing is over. Thank the financial institutions for that. Better to go into finance in western world and invest in foreign markets or crypto

My favorite parts:
A lot of people think making money is about luck. It's not.
o It's about becoming the kind of person that makes money.
o I'd like to think if I lost all my money, and you dropped me on some random street in some english-speaking country,
o Within 5-10 years, I would be wealthy again, it's because of the skill set that I've developed.
o In 1000 parallel universes, you wanna be wealthy 999 of them.
o You don't wanna be wealthy in the 50 of them where you were lucky.
o You wanna factor luck out of it.
• There are four kinds of luck.
o 1) Blind luck – something out of my control happens e.g. fortune, fate.
o 2) Hustle luck – generating enough force, hustle and energy that luck will find you.
o 3) Spotting luck – skilled in a field, you will notice when a lucky break happens when others are not attuned to it.
o 4) Character luck – you build a unique character, a unique brand, a unique mindset, wherethen luck finds you.
o e.g. you are the best person at deepsea underwater diving where no one else would attempt to dare, and then by sheer luck someone finds
o a sunken treasure ship that they can't get at, and their luck just became your luck. Because they will come to you to get that treasure, and you will get paid for it.
o You put yourself in a position to attract that luck when no one else has created that opportunity for themselves. We don't want to leave it to chance.
• I don't think it's impossible. You my have to work a little bit harder given your starting circumstances. Remember, I started as a poor kid in India. If I can make it, anybody can
o In that sense, I had all my limbs, and my mental faculty.
o As long as you have a functioning body, and a functioning mind.
o I haven't made money in my life in one giant payout. It's always been a whole bunch of small things piling up. It's about consistently creating wealth, by creating businesses, creating opportunities.
o It hasn't been one-off thing. It's not like any one video will shower you with riches over night. It's going to be a long lifetime of learning, of reading, of creating, that will compound.
• Retire doesn't mean you don't do anything. Retire means you have freedom. You don't have to be any place you dont' want to be, you dont' ahve tod o anything you don't want to do. You can wake when you want, you can sleep when you want.
o Now with the internet these days, those opportunities are massively abundant.
o I in fact, have too many ways to make money. I don't have enough time. I literally have opportunities pouring out of my ears. And the thing I keep running out of is time.
o There’s just so many ways to create wealth, products, businesses, opportunities, and as a by-product, get paid by society, that I can't handle it all.

Making money is not about luck is about developing the skills to get money. There is 4 types of luck.
– Blind luck (fortune)
– Luck from hustling (you expose yourself to serendipity)
– Luck from preparation (you see opportinities others miss)
– Luck for your unique charachter (their luck becomes your luck)
You gain wealth one chip at a time by consistently creating value.

This is denying the obvious. If you were born in a 3rd world country, you will not make the same money you do in US doing the same work. Born in US is luck.

I love Naval, but what he is saying here has gaps, for example, it really depends what speciality you chose, country you live in and so on. If Naval made all his $$$ in India from a low caste, now that would be a different story.
