Our church give food boxes away every month with a letter in their boxes. It has a Bible verse and a recipe for them with what food they have.

❤Meagan, I’m not a homesteader or farmer but I love watching and learning. If I were younger and not so physically worn down I would love to have a little place in the country. I’m about 90 miles from the Smokies so I, too, am in the Appalachians. I so love the mountains! ⛰️ I am not aware of what CSA Boxes are. The boxes you prepared for your priority customers were really nice and colorful. Since I found true Grit just a few months back I haven’t heard you mention the boxes, however it has been winter. Are you going to do them this year? Did it end up being financially lucrative for you? Are you still in the market for money making ideas that work for you? ❤🙏🏻

As an OG homesteader and hustler I can chime in and sound like a fortune cookie and say this.. You DONT need 1 thing that makes $60k p/year.. You NEED 60 things that make $1000.. That said your time is limited so make money doing things that your already doing.. If you are canning green beans for your pantry then can some extra and sell them.. Grow animals but remember that they are worth more in a bag then they are on the hoof

I really like the idea of doing a small scale CSA box.
Something to consider is Add on items. It doesn't necessarily have to be food items.
1. Extra meat
2. Home made items:
– cheese
– dairy
– soap
– craft items
– wine

Your boxes look great,,,, you could add pickles and an occasional jar of veggies. In the fall,, you could do bread and home made jelly!!!! Or cookies etc!!! Every once in a while,,add a small baked good,,, like a sample and this fall you can offer that to them. Home made pies!!!! I enjoy your videos!!!!!!

Love it. When I was a young stay at home mom I was constantly trying to think of things to raise money for our family while kids were in school. I did a bunch of stuff, all legal of course!😂. LOVE your channel, gave your info to my mom to watch.❤

I raise feeder pigs, goat kids, and baby chicks. All produce is for home use as I am a one man show. I would love to do what you are doing, but I cannot commit to picking the produce when someone is due for it. My gardens are planned, planted and harvested batches. so I offset some of the farm cost with the livestock. If I could clone myself, I’d definitely do the produce boxes. Although another me walking this earth might not be such a good idea.😂😂😂

Great idea Megan. I'm homesteading and researching ways to bring in extra income. I will definitely implement the veggie and egg boxes. I currently sell my eggs for $8 a dozen. How much are your boxes and what state are you in? ♥️
